Born in Canada, but raised in Jamaica, I spent my days enjoying the rich and warm culture you’ll find in the tropical paradise. Weekends spent exploring the mountains, or relaxing on the beach afforded me an appreciation for the simple things in life, the beauty we see in the world around us.
I moved to the West Coast for the easy winters and temperate summers. Despite the incredible natural vistas around me on Vancouver Island, I’ve found the thing I most enjoy photographing is that which connects us all, the human element. To me, the real beauty in portrait photography is in learning to tell a story, to put a lifetime of emotion or experiences into one single image. It’s in learning not to focus a lens but to focus attention. It's in learning to expose our souls.
